Who We Are
Born and raised in the Comox Valley, we have witnessed a lot of change over the years! Growing up as a young grom racing downhill, causing terror downtown on skateboards and shredding the local gravel pits with moto. We now get to raise our own hellions in this paradise. Through years of shutdown dirt lines, getting booted from undercover spots, and now days when we wish we were progressing with our kids year round. It’s time to create the North Island’s very own year round indoor gravity park and training facility!
As the founder of Plateau Jump House, myself, Travis Petersen grew up riding Forbidden Plateau’s shuttle runs, and climbing Cumberland’s OG trails on a DH bike while dodging logging trucks and bombing down on 26” wheels. I Destroyed bikes on Mt Washingtons Monster Mile, racing the BC Cup DH series and at that time the Island Cup DH (Please bring it back!). I even made it to a few nationals back then including Whistler’s first ever Crankworx event. The last race of my competitive amateur career was Nationals Mount Saint Anne, 2005?, where I managed to leave with 1st place in the 17 and under category.
Over the years I have worked all over BC’s coast in various logging camps, stints in Alberta, and local Civil construction projects with Leighton Contracting.
The love for gravity sports burns strong and even better my family is right there with me! The Dreams we are making reality would not be possible without the support of our Family, Friends and loads of Volunteers.
THANK YOU!
